Here the vintage ALCO heads east on Port Colborne Harbour Railway trackage pushing two grain hoppers - cleaving the backs of the Clarence Street stores on the south, and the residential area on the north. But I wasn't finished with this train just yet. |

After a very short chase, I got this pic, from my car, as TRRY 1859 rolled passed the old Grand Trunk Railway station, built in 1910. The tracks are gone, the old iron swing bridge over the old Welland Canal is still there (but fenced-off), and a bike trail now occupies the right-of-way just east of this spot - where long-gone tracks once connected Port Colborne with far away Fort Erie. |

I didn't know until I snapped the pic that the brakeman would step out just as I lined up my shot. There's a crossing on the other side of the bridge, and he will conduct the train through as it enters the industry yard tracks just beyond. |
