Album Info:Today I went up to Warsaw in hopes to shoot the CFE Local Job west to Valparaiso today. Little did I know when I went up they would not be running west, rather east to work the industries on the other side of town. With that plan foiled I was told that CKIN would be running with a pair of the endangered SD-M DMIR painted units so I raced to Wellsboro and chased them south. I closed the day at Wellsboro along the CSX and CN grabbing some mainline action. Enjoy!

Description:  With CSX traffic dying down and CN not producing anything at all, I figured this would be a good moment to go see what the South Shore was up to in Stillwell. Of course, as I began to move, I began to hear CSX Q370 calling signals, I was able to snag this shot from the US 35 overpass in Kingsford Heights.

Description:  Quite the surprise came across the diamonds next! This Budd Car built for CN in 1958 is what CN uses as their track geometry train. Today, the crew checked the line between Battle Creek and Griffith. Wasnt too sure if Id ever get to see this in person. I believe it is the oldest piece of track evaluating equipment (owned by a Class 1 Railway) that operates to this day.

Title:  BNSF 4118
Description:  With the light fading away, it was time to call it a night, but CSX Q171 was riding on the heels of Q191, so I decided to stick around for it. This train also featured a H2 Dash 9 on the point. Although I didnt get the PLs on the Pennsy like I had planned, Ill take a CKIN chase any day. Some great mainline action today as well!
