Album Info:CSX Transportation runs on former Conrail Lines (Penn Central-New York Central) Oakpoint yard and Harlem River Yard are former New Haven Railroad properties. Road operations in daylight over Metro North Railroad are extremely rare. So when it happens, these photos are what I accomplish! Photos from 2007 and 2008 are with Canon Rebel Digital. Earlier photos are as noted.

Description:  it's one thing to be union free, like CSX customer Kawasaki Rail Car in Yonkers, NY is, BUT to BRAG about the fact that you pay your people crap money, is a disgrace! Baldor recently moved from it's former location at 511 Barry St, to 155 Food Center Drive, the former A&P warehouse. The building is still served by CSX, with a railroad crossing equipped with flashers, and a 3 door spot.

Description:  At 0942 HRS, CSX B749-18, based at Croton West Yard, NY, has their normal cars on the head pin, and Q701-17's power and train as it heads south through The Yonkers RR Station on Metro North Railroad. The NEW Yonkers Waterfront includes a Revitalized train station and pier ; new streets built over the Hudson, apartments, banks, top notch restaurants The Pierview (Shameless PLUG), and Zuppa, and a new parking garage, from which this photo was taken. Within view Left to Right is Alpine, NJ in The Palisades, The North Yonkers Waste Water Treatment plant lighthouse, MTA Bus Yonkers Depot, The remnants of The New York Central YONKERS YARD, The Former Glenwood Power Plant, and if you look hard enough The Tappan Zee Bridge 10 miles to the north. The park adjacent to the station for many years was the Originating Bus station for many of The Yonkers bus routes served by The Bee Line System. Growing up in Yonkers, it is great to see what was envisioned for many years finally happened. CSX Transportation since it's joint purchase of Conrail in 1999 has operated Freight Train service over The Metro North Railroad Hudson Line. Description:  CSXT Croton West Yard based local B749-26 brings 28 cars to Oak Point with Q701-25's power in the lead. The nocturnal road train was forced to shove back from Harmon Station to the west yard due to time contraints. It was 0500. Witness this train south at 1022 Hrs.
