Album Info:Here are the front cover and a six-page cover article by Mr. Howard Serig entitled "The Taking Of Amtrak 4935." It was published originally in the July 1977 issue of the "Passenger Train Journal," pages 19-24. "As a commemorative gesture, why couldn't someone restore this locomotive or another one just like it to its original PRR livery and operate it in regular service? It seemed, in concept, certainly within the capabilities of a decent railroad shop. There was not one example of a historically significant restored locomotive operating in regular service, and what locomotive ~ steam, diesel, or electric ~ was more significant in terms of design and/or performance than the Loewy-styled GG-1?" (Page 16). Also included is a color photo which was taken during the event by an unidentified photographer.
