Album Info:For my first official trip of the year, I decided to take some time following the RJ Corman from Celina, OH up to Lima, OH. Despite it being very foggy at the beginning of the day, I was able to find them beginning their day at the Distribution Center in Celina. After following them I found myself along the IORY and the CSX around Sidney. Enjoy!

Title:  RJCR 1806
Description:  Good morning from the RJ Corman! For my first official day trip of the year, I decided to follow an operation Ive been wanting to do for a while; the RJ Corman from Celina to Lima. The main goal was the shoot the ex-NKP signals that still are scattered along the line. When I left home it was extremely foggy outside, and when I arrived to Celina it was nodifferent. I couldnt see their power in the Distribution Center east of town or at Coldwater, both places where they usually park the power. I thought I had missed them since they go on duty so crazy early and I didnt arrive at the exact time. However, after looking for a while, I saw a headlight pierce through the fog, and they came out onto the main ready to begin their day!

Title:  RJCR 1731
Description:  The train began to move rather quickly so I decided it was best to jump ahead to the first bracket signal just east of the small lake community of Villa Nova, OH. I parked in the parking lot of the Villa Nova Gas Station, and not too soon after, RJC 1731, with a great sounding RS5T, rolled past the first of 3 bracket masts left along the line.

Now off to the IORY, as rumor had it todays LSL would consist of 3 SD40-2s still in the RailTex Red Scheme. I was plenty far away from the LSLs usual departure time, so I had ample time to wait around before going.

Center Cab Switchers at Botkins Elevator
Title:  Center Cab Switchers at Botkins Elevator
Description:  As light began to fade away, I decided it was time to begin making my way back north, as I wanted to watch tonights College Football National Championship between LSU and Clemson. I began my way north following the very dead Toledo Sub, and payed a visit to the center cab switchers that are used to switch out the grain elevator when it receives cars. I dont know the reporting marks or much history behind these engines. If anyone has some information they would like tp pass along it would be much appreciated.

Title:  CSX 5429
Description:  I almost got all the way back into Lima before my friend TJ called me and told me that the CSX Geometry Train had gone east by his house with the rebuilt GP40-2 on the head end. So even though the light was almost gone, I decided to go back south since I had been foiled catching it other times. Traffic on the Indy Line had picked up slightly, as almost as soon as I got back into town, CSX Q311 tripped the defect detector east of town and eventually passed underneath me on the Kuther Road overpass.

Title:  CSX 7203
Description:  When the Geometry Train was coming, I realized that I had left my tripod back at the Kuther Road overpass in Sidney. I wouldve gone back to get it then, but I wasnt sure how much time I would have before the Geometry Train would show up. Relieved, I found it right where I had set it, and also got K279 heading west to close the day off for good. My flash decided not to fire off completely though as the batteries were almost dead. Still, a fantastic train watching day covering some new territory and some cool trains! I got home in time to see most of the football game, and LSU and Joe Burrow pulled out and beat an extremely talented Clemson team. A very fantastic day indeed!
