Album Info:On this trip to Union Station, I got photos of KCS 34, the EMD FP9A which is on display outside the station, as well as some passenger coaches which were there at the time. Also, I went up to the bridge over the railroad tracks and photographed some of the many freights going by. Enjoy!

WRHX 800148 Warren R. Henry
Title:  WRHX 800148 Warren R. Henry
Description:  I could not find the exact number, but this coach started life as a Union Pacific coach in 1955. It was restored by businessman Patrick Henry, who named this and the Evelyn Henry after his parents. Henry's love for trains is documented in this article (https://www.chron.com/life/article/Businessman-refurbishes-train-cars-rents-them-out-1948632.php), and I think many of us railroad buffs echo his sentiments. Kudos to him for doing something to preserve these beautiful coaches!

PPCX 800279 Silver Foot
Title:  PPCX 800279 Silver Foot
Description:  So this one's got a funny history. You might expect, with a name beginning "Silver," that this was a Burlington coach at one point. Actually, it was built as the Union Pacific Ogden in 1956. Union Pacific began using it as a staff car in 1967, but eventually, it was sold to Chicago Medical Equipment. Under this ownership, it got its current name because Chicago Medical Equipment was owned by podiatrists, or foot doctors! Also, here it is in 1971, with a green paint scheme and a different shape (the open-air platform was added later): http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=5102054

KCS 34
Title:  KCS 34
Description:  This engine is an FP9, a model which was only ordered by Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, the Chicago & NorthWestern, the Ferrocailes Nacionales de Mexico, and the Saudi Government Railways. So, no, this was not originally a Kansas City Southern engine. It started life as Canadian National 6507.
