Depicted in the foreground are the trolley tracks connecting Juniata (to the left) with Tyrone (to the right). Beyond the trolley tracks is a small portion of the left-to-right flowing Little Juniata River. The trolley right-of-way and the River crossed one another several times between Juniata and Tyrone. During the St. Patrick's Day Floods of 17-19 March 1936, the Little Juniata became a raging torrent that washed-away much of the line's right-of-way, leading to its eventual abandonment. |
