This versatile Mikado was built by Alco-Brooks in October of 1923 as CRIP 2-8-2 2671. Specs - K-64 class, 63" drivers, 200psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine wt of 338,200 lb, and tractive effort of 63,467 lb. With a booster added in 1931, it increased the te by 10,460 lb and with a stoker added, the weight was 347,100 lb. After nearly 29 years of service, the loco was retired and sold for scrap in January of 1952. This is an Arthur B. Johmson photo. |
