Title:
CB&Q 0-8-0 Class F-1 546
Description:
Large cab numbers on Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 0-8-0 Class F-1 546, location, date, and photographer unknown, print by Tom Klinger, Chuck Zeiler collection. The date and location selected are based on a CB&Q LAS (Locomotive Assignment Sheet) dated February 1, 1952 when Number 546 was assigned to the Beardstown Division. Built in 1919 by the Brooks Works of Alco (c/n 61239), it was one of ten USRA design 0-8-0's allotted to the CB&Q during World War I. Number 546 was retired and sold for scrap in April 1955.
