Description: |
Electrified. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 18 June 1962. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #4835 and #4802. Both are GG-1's built during 1935. #4835 was built in Juniata during July, but #4802 was built by General Electric in May. They are pulling a southbound mixed-cargo freight train through the North Philadelphia Passenger Station. |
