Caught by an unknown photographer in an unidentified yard is this Canadian Pacific 4-6-4 Hudson. Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in December of 1928, the loco served many passenger trains through its 29 years of service. Specs - serial #68065, class H1a, 75" drivers, 275 psi boiler pressure, 22x30" cylinders, engine weight of 351,200 lb, tractive effort of 45,254 lb. The loco was retired in July of 1958. No date or location was given for the photo but thanks to Raymond Kennedy, the location is Labton yard in front of the Stores Dept building. Thanks, Raymond! |
