PRR 8476, AS-16MS, c. 1955
Title:  PRR 8476, AS-16MS, c. 1955
Description:  Here is a photo that was taken near Marydel, Delaware. Photo Annotation: "PRR 8476. Fan trip @ MaryDel. Trip to Easton." Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8476, an AS-16MS road switcher built by the American Locomotive Company in June of 1952 and rated at 1,600 horsepower. In this context, it's coupled with a six-car "Off-the-Beaten-Path" railfan special that's paused for the fans to stretch their legs. The photographer's name and the date are not recorded.
