The station was the hub of Southern Pacific Peninsula Commute Operation, and saw varied sets of commuter train equipment, from 4-6-2 Pacifics with heavyweights to leased Amtrak P30CH "Pooches" and now sleek Nippon Sharyo Bi-Levels. The station still dons the Southern Pacific shield on both the main concourse as well as the baggage area. |
