LA Times Job begins its day  Contributor's Pick!
Getting ready for work at J-Yard, a hogger carries his supplies up to his hog, in this case, a former Missouri Pacific GP83-2 coupled to a "Crud" (a former SP SW1500) at J-Yard near downtown Los Angeles. GP38-2 #622 was originally delivered to the MoPac as their #2122 Jan 1975. #Y1199 is older, having been originally delivered to the eSPee as their #2657 May 1972. Nice to see the old units still running. This train will be YJY78R, the Los Angeles Times Job. It will shove to East Redondo, and then move ove to the LA Times lead, which is some might poor looking track.
