| CSX 5581 rebuilt from a retired B36-7 #5890, Only unit to be done. The biggest spotting feature is that there is no head light mounting box on the short hood and the addtion of two acsess doors at the bottom of the short hood also. The other main differance is the intake grill arangement. Also the B30s had extra windows forward and aft of the main cab windows that were plated over in the early days. The B36s did not have this opption as can be seen by the solid cabs sides. Also the B36s are about two feet shorter than a B30. |
