The CHW after leaving the diamond has 9 intersections in roughly a 3 mile stretch as she departs and returns to Harrisonburg. Local residents have voiced complaints about the horns at night and or early morning hours. The train was here first! Harrisonburg keeps developing and so creating new intersections causing them to blow their horns. I grew up on Paul St. and this crossing did not exist until the late 70's. My folks still live up the hill from this crossing and they say the train does not bother them at all! |
