Jerry LaBoda General This engine did belong to the Narragansett Pier RR, was sold not long before the Yancey RR (no Valley) shut down. Its number is 40, not 70. 2/7/2011 7:13:16 PM
Donnie Shaffer General I found out some information about this particular locomotive inside an old 1974 issue of Model Railroader. No. 40 was acquired in 1963. The 65-Ton, 420-horsepower diesel unit came from the U.S. Navy. 2/14/2013 8:10:41 AM
