This locomotive was built in October 1947 as CGW F3 101C (c/n 4118) on EMD Order E762, acquired by the C&NW in the 1968 merger, was renumbered to (3rd) 201 in 1971. It is listed at utahrails.net as retired in June 1985, traded to EMD and scrapped by Saint Louis Auto Shredding. The actual retirement date may have been earlier, judging by the trash bags covering the exhaust stacks and what appears to be missing batteries. |
