| This engine was wrecked near Thermopolis, WY back on 5-12-10 in Wind River Canyon after hitting a rockslide. The lead engine, BNSF 4702 overturned onto the conductor's side and slid down a 60 foot embankment with the nose and cab ending up partially submerged in the Wind River. The crew survived, and walked away from the derailment. The second unit, BNSF 4580 had the entire radiator section ripped off when the first car of their loaded grain train rode up on it. The 4702 is at KCS Knoche Yard on its way to Mid-America Car and Locomotive, and will probably get a fresh coat of BNSF Heritage 3 Paint, but there is a wild off chance she'll stay in red and silver.
