Life in Hollidaysburg
Once famous for the massive PRR/PC/Conrail car shops, Hollidaysburg is much quieter now. The shops are shut down except for a few smaller tenants, and miles of yard track are abandoned or used for long-term car storage during the recession. There is still a consignee, however; here the NS Cove Secondary turn from Altoona has come to town to serve the customer. The train is returning to Altoona and passing the old U.S. Hotel in Hollidaysburg.
