Seaboard Coast Line GP38-2 #527, flying white "extra" flags with 309's train in tow, is filling the Outside Track with a huge cut of pulpwood empties for use at the 6 pulpwood yards located within less than a mile from the depot
309's train would handle empty pulpwood cars out of Birmingham and would clean out the huge Coosa Pines paper mill. As a result, it would have a huge train into Lineville that would get smaller and smaller as it neared its Manchester Yard destination.
