Tim Fennell General Union, Illinois is the home of the Illinois Railway Museum, the largest (450 pieces of rolling stock) in North America. This crane has been owned by the museum since 1968 and has been used to unload rolling stock and other equipment from flatcars. The boiler has not been fired up for many years, due to it needing extensive repairs, but it has been operated using compressed air. In this image it is partially disassembled during a restoration attempt that stopped when the money ran out. 10/23/2013 11:13:19 PM
