Tim Fennell General This is a Vanderbilt tender built by the American Locomotive Company in 1942 and used with a Grand Trunk Northern 4-8-4 Northern (class U). When the locomotive was scrapped the tender was retained for work service, most likely water transport. After GTW went through the hands of several private owners before coming to the museum. The number near the rear is a reference to GTW #6323 with is in the collection and has a tender similar to this one. 10/19/2013 9:25:36 PM
