The Wall Street and the Crusader were all that was left of competition with Amtrak in the Northeast Corridor. They operated Monday to Friday on commuter schedules between Reading Terminal and Newark. The Crusaders equipment ran through to and from Reading. I rode these trains every chance I could get. Here the Reading Wall Street is boarding at Newark in March 1976 for its sprint to Reading Terminal in Philadelphia. |
