Thanks for the nice photo, Robert. I ran this loco on 5/23/1959, just before my 11th birthday in Milwaukee. It was numbered 2309 then, and the engineer, Wilbur Gilkur, was a lodge buddy of my Dad's, thus the Saturday spent in the yards in Milwaukee pulling and shoving old steam locomotives to the scrapper from a track near the old Milw Road backshops. I have a picture taken of me in the engineer's seat, looking very serious. You can see a light tower from the right field bleacher area of old Milwaukee County Stadium, where our beloved Braves played. Wish it had been preserved, I'd like to see her again....
