After visiting family in the 1000 Islands area, it was off to Gananoque, where this un-manned station still serves the VIA Toronto-Montreal trains as a 'flag-stop'. I barely had time to get this shot as the trains soar through here in a flash. See the next pic of the shot I really wanted - about 5 minutes after this one, when the sun popped back out in the last few moments of the day to light up this quaint building - constructed in 1901. |
