CNJ 4-6-0C #771 - Central RR of New Jersey  Contributor's Pick!       
Pouring on the coal as it passes CNJ 2-8-2 #866, the 1913 Baldwin built 4-6-0 camelback #771 shows it can compete with the Mikado sister. Note on the back of the photo states - "CNJ 771 - east - train #202, CNJ 866 west - train #403". Specs - L-7as,69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 23x28" cylinders, engine weight of 225,600 lb, tractive effort of 36,493 lb. Virtually all of this class served until the 1950's. R.P.
