4th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during November of 1960. Shown here is PRR engine #8619, an AS-18M built by the American Locomotive Company in August of 1956 and rated at 1,800 horsepower. Its crew is busy switching cars in the Westbound Yards. Visible on the left are numerous passenger cars marshalled for reconditioning in the PRR's Passenger Car Shops behind them. Photo taken from the 4th Street Bridge.
