Everyday. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 09 August 1961. Shown here is PRR engine #7925, an ES-12 built by EMD in 1957 and rated at 1,200 horsepower. It is pulling a mixed-cargo freight train into the Hollidaysburg Yards. Also visible (L to R) are gondola cars parked next to Sender's Junk Yard, the second PRR track from Hollidaysburg to the Wye Switches in Duncansville (occupying the original right of way for the Allegheny Portage Railroad), as well as a small portion of Broad Street on the right. This photo taken from the PRR caboose on static display as part of Hollidaysburg's 125th Anniversary Celebration. ("Red Shift" slide converted to Black & White.) |
