24th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 29 November 1964. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #9657 and #9766-B. Both are EF-15A's built by EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each; #9657 was built in 1950, but #9766-@ was built in 1951. They are about to pass under the 24th Street Bridge with a 76-car mixed-cargo freight train on their way up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West. The N-8 caboose is #478171. Bringing-up the rear are three ALCo "pushers": #8678, #8674, and #8667. The 73-car eastbound TrucTrain on the next track over is headed by engine #2249.
