Tom Beckett General A few years later, NJDOT-it wasn't NJ Transit yet-modified their paint diagram so there would be a "bow wave" on the nose of the E's, a much more attractive appearance. That was largely through the efforts of local fan Walt Grosselfinger, who lived in Middletown and was active in several fan organizations. He also had contacts in the DOT, and was able to sway them toward the new scheme. NJ Transit also put an outline of New Jersey in a circle on the nose of several of those units. It was quite attractive. This was a great trip down memory lane. I miss the South Amboy of that time. 5/7/2018 5:19:19 AM
