| New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board L6 had picked up a covered hopper off of the New Orleans Public Belt interchange, and was about to cross Leake Avenue and then run down Eagle Street to the city's main water treatment plant. The little locomotive was a 16-ton Plymouth model DDT, serial number 7176, built in February 1977. |
