Kern. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred Kern that was taken in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, on 29 August 1953. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1770, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1913 and retired in March of 1954 after 41 years of service. |
