Here is a photo that was published originally in the November 1947 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 65. Partial Caption: "The Pennsylvania Railroad has installed the world's first locomotive washing machine in Sunnyside Yard, Long Island City, N.Y. The installation ~ 300 feet in length ~ will scrub, risne, and polish 100 electric locomotives every 24 hours.... Pantographs are lowered and loco moved through by 'pig.'"
