Chuck Zeiler General From Bill Barber: Based on my CB&Q fan trip record, there was no 5632 trip in November, 1960 that would have included Mendota. More likely, the is the December 4, 1960 trip from Chicago to Galesburg and return. It was a four car train and was billed as 5632’s last trip. The RR changed their mind and decided to do class repairs on it so it could continue in service for another four years. The only other trip that it made on the Chicago - Galesburg mainline was the June 4 trip on the Illini RR Club trip to Colorado. The 5632 pulled the train from Chicago to Lincoln. It did make a couple of trips out of Kansas City in early October that would have required a light engine move from Chicago or Galesburg depending on where it was at the time. I will leave it to you to make whatever correct that you think is appropriate. I would change it to the December 4th trip. 12/9/2019 10:29:41 AM
