Foggy Start  Contributor's Pick!
BNSF 8465 charges through the thick fog in Old Monroe, Mo. with an empty Ameren coal train (E-RTRBTM 088A) on the BNSF Hannibal Sub. Track grade improvements were completed recently noted by the wooded grade stakes seen in the picture. The main through town was raised from the curve at Mp. 52 to the bridge at 51.5, not sure exactly on the height but substantially noticeable. Tough to say if its keep the main out of floodwaters or to get it more level with the new bridge over the Cuivre River.
