CR GG1 #4852
The late afternoon sun casts a warm glow on a long string of GG1's all sitting in the scrap line at the Enola, PA, yard. built by PRR/Westinghouse in June of 1935, it outlasted both the Pennsylvania RR and the Penn Central before being retired as a Conaril roster member. Conrail conductor Ken Taylor documented this sad line of mightly GG1's two years after their retirement.
