T&P 4-6-2 720         
Texas & Pacific P-1b class 4-6-2 720 was being serviced at the Texas Pacific-Missouri Pacific Terminal Railroad of New Orleans’ RACE STREET YARD after having arrived on train No. 22, the LOUISIANA EAGLE. The locomotive had been built by Alco’s Richmond Works (64063) in March 1923 and wore the Elesco Type HA feedwater heater that was used on all of the P-1b locos, 714-721. It was retired in March 1952. MP 4-8-2 5313 was parked on the next track. (approximate date of photo)
