NOPSI 803
New Orleans Public Service car 803 was outbound on the ST. CHARLES line in the 600-block of St. Charles Avenue, across from LAFAYETTE SQUARE. On the other side of the car was the SOULE COLLEGE building, and next to it was the IMPERIAL HOTEL, which was used exclusively by away-from-home railroaders. Soule College moved out in 1923 and closed in 1983, but this building was still standing in 2020. Car 803 had been built by the JG. Brill Co. in 1922 and was scrapped in June 1964.
