Portraits 4. Here is a steam locomotive portrait by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Oil City, Pennsylvania, in May of 1936. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1046, a D-16SB (4-4-0) "American" built in Juniata as a D-16B during 1903, rebuilt as a D-16SB in December of 1915, and retired in January of 1937 after 34 years of faithful service.
