| Caught by an unknown photographer, CN #859 sits stripped of its bell and light while it waits for the scrapper's torch. Starting out as GTR #783 after being built by the Canadian Locomotive Works in February of 1906, it was renumbered first to GTR 1322 in 1910 and again to CN 859 in 1923 when it officially joined the CN roster. Specs - serial #677, E-7-a class, 63" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 177,688lb, tractive effort of 27,846 lb. It was retired in September of 1951 and scrapped.
