"Class 'D' Locomotives," Page 16, 1981         
Here is page 16 of a 78-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "Those Amazing Class 'D' Locomotives." It was issued originally in June of 1981. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1027, a D-7 (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during April of 1883 and destroyed in a wreck in February of 1901. It's the very first Pennsy standard D-7A.
