"Class 'D' Locomotives," Page 18, 1981         
Here is page 18 of a 78-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "Those Amazing Class 'D' Locomotives." It was issued originally in June of 1981. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1042, a D-7 (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during May of 1883 and retired in February of 1905 after 22 years of faithful service.
