Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken at Winton Place Station near Cincinnati, Ohio, c. 1934. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #150 and #5427. Both are "K" Class (4-6-2) "Pacific" steam locomotives. #150 is a K-2S built in Juniata as a K-2 during February of 1910, rebuilt as a K-2S in April of 1914, and retired in November of 1948. #5427 is a K-4S built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in February of 1927 and retired in April of 1956. You better watch out for the oncoming train at the far left ... Safety First! Gary Mittner Collection. |
