Caltrain 914 leads a southbound #408 train into San Jose Diridon. Todays #408 is made up of the aging F40PH-2 and a string of Bombardier Bi-Level coaches. 914 was built in 1985, and is named after the community of Atherton, just north of Menlo Park. Ironically, the Caltrain station at Atherton was closed in late 2020, but 914 still bears the name of the affluent community a year and a half after the closure. |
