Power for the PANAMA LIMITED was photographed at the throat to New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal. SDP40F 594 had been built in May 1974 and was retired in late 1977 for use as trade-in credit on F40PHR 256. E8A 445 had been built in January 1950 as Atlantic Coast Line 546 and was among the last batch of E-units which were sold in 1981 (approximate date of image) |
