Patrick Harris General Though rebuilt under SCL/Family lines auspices, it would not be "nee-SCL" because SCL did not buy the origingal GP-7 or GP-9. Unless it's specific heritage is known, it could be "nee-GA, nee-Clinchfield, nee-ACL, nee-ACL, nee-L&N, etc." fo whichever road provided the core from which the GP-16 was rebuitl. The use of "nee" in railfanning means "originally", and it was not originally SCL, though it was rebuilt while serving on the SCL. It would be nice to know the unit's origins. 1/20/2007 1:08:11 PM

William Grimes General Serial number is 14960. Nice Photo! Typical shortline, my favorite. 5/27/2007 8:56:30 PM
