An old friend comes to visit
I had to make a double-take when I saw "Furby" coming by. This engine seems to know where I'm going to be railfanning, whether it's at Folkston, or up in VA with family, and makes an appearance. Here she leads A772 across Main St.

Funny how some units seem to follow you around, especially if not on your home road. I had a similar experience with SOU 3129, an SD 45, in the 1980's. Saw it in Greensboro NC, then again a few years later in Kansas City, as well as one or two other places as well, I just can't remember now. I lived in NY at the time, so I had to go a bit to be where I'd see it. CR 6607 was another one. CR had ten C30-7's, but that was the one I seemed to always see.

I had some similar experiences with CN 4116; first I saw it leading an all autorack train to the CN MacMillan yard on the CN York Sub. in October 2013; then two years later I saw it leading one of those rare local trains that service the few CN customers on the Newmarket Sub. Three months later (the first of January 2016) I saw it trailing on an outbound consist from the CN MacMillan yard being the fifth unit in the six engine consist lead by CN 8875. Following that I saw it at the MacMillan yard diesel shop in March 2016 and finally saw it yet again pulling a string of autoracks into the CN MacMillan yard on the 20th of May 2017. The weirdest thing is that every time I saw this lucky engine it was always at a different location.
