Title:  Abandoned PRR Signal
Description:  The approach (distant) signal for Hudson, Oh still exists, but only by miracle. This line was taken out of service in the 1980's by Conrail, and has seen no use since. The Port Authority of Summit County (PASC) now owns this line, in hopes to one day restore it, which as of now, looks pretty hopeless.

Description:  The distant signal for Hudson on the old PRR (CA&C) right-of-way, which still exists, but barely. You can vaguely see rail sticking through the brush in the foreground. This area on the PRR was named "Golly" and a defect detector was located here - the grey box in the weeds. This line has seen no use since the 1980's

Old PRR (CA&C) Right-of-Way
Title:  Old PRR (CA&C) Right-of-Way
Description:  Looking pretty sad, the old PRR (CA&C) trackage is now covered in dense brush, seeing no use since the 1980's. This is looking south from McCauley Rd in Stow towards Cuyahoga Falls. The Port Authority of Summit County (PASC) owns this line in hopes to restore it in the future. Chances are pretty slim. The village of Silver Lake, just south of here, does not want this line back in operation. This area on the line was known as "Golly" and a defect detector used to be located here, but has long since met it's fate.

Description:  As the EPA became more environmentally conscious, the above company was closed. It's coal just simply didn't meet the tougher standards. These units are likewise stored. Quarter Moon Coal provided 10 cars daily for the SFEL.
