Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, c. 1949. Prominent here is a large number of Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotives marshalled for movement to the scrap dock. Among them is engine #3467, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during July of 1913 and retired in October of 1950. Partially visible at the far left is PRR engine #4717, a P-5A (2-C-2) electric built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in October of 1932 and retired in June of 1962. Roy Healey Collection; #7 of 16. |
